Dunkeld is located 260km west of Melbourne, at the southern tip of The Grampians National Park. The pretty village is set at the base of the looming Mount Sturgeon and is surrounded by spectacular Grampians views.


Travelling by car, Dunkeld is a three hour drive from Melbourne, on the Western Hwy to Ballarat and then the Glenelg Highway to Dunkeld.

Christians Bus Lines operates a bus service to Dunkeld from Warrnambool, Ararat, Port Fairy, Macarthur, Hamilton, Halls Gap, Pomonal and Moyston.
